We’re looking for Summer Interns!

Succeed as an Emerging Talent at Loblaw! We provide you with opportunities to develop your skills, network and gain knowledge across all of our divisions within the enterprise!  Students are also encouraged to participate in events across the enterprise including learning sessions, community events and activities led by our student-led intern committee during the summer term.

What will you do?

    • Work with the Marketing Manager to plan acquisition, retention, and product marketing communications with a focus on building the best experience for customers
    • Collaborate with various teams on testing and launch of new product/platform capabilities, including completing Quality Assurance testing, logging bugs, and providing feedback
    • Build, test, launch and maintain vouchers for customer offers
    • Prepare creative briefs, manage campaign calendars and projects across business units
    • Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling messaging for use across various channels
    • Use internal tools to define customer audiences ensuring messaging is relevant for each customer segment
    • Support the technical set-up, testing and deployment of campaigns
    • Partner with marketing automation team to ensure messaging is deployed in a timely manner
    • Generate regular reporting on campaign and business performance using dashboards
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align tactics around business goals
    • Support broader Growth and Marketing team as required

 

Qualifications 

    • Interested in learning more about digital and traditional marketing execution
    • Someone who takes initiative but also knows to ask for help when needed
    • Well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Capable of handing multiple products at any given time
    • Able to understand work with analytical data
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office suite applications
    • Basic understanding of web and app platforms
    • Previous experience in a marketing role is an asset
    • Understanding of basic HTML and web markup an asset
    • Experience with SQL and analytics platforms an asset
    • Undergraduate studies in a related discipline an asset

 

About the internship

Duration of the internship: May 13th – August 23rd, 2024

Hybrid:  Loblaw has adopted a Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues are expected to work 3 days in office and remotely up to 2 days a week.
