Working together to achieve inclusivity.

We’re committed to supporting and accommodating the needs of those we serve by ensuring our website is accessible to all. Always an ongoing journey, our mission is having an inclusive website accessible to everyone regardless of ability or disability, compatible with popular screen reading software and designed for those using other adaptive/assistive technology, such as screen readers/magnifiers, Braille embossers, speech recognition software and adaptive keyboards and pointer systems. Please explore the list of tools and features below that will allow you to customize our website to suit your needs:

You can change the text size in most browsers by opening the Settings or Options menu and adjusting the Text Size or Zoom selection.

Alternatively, you can use keyboard shortcuts by holding down Ctrl and + or – (Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS) or ⌘ and + or – (Mac) to zoom in and out.

Customize your browser’s display settings to create a high or soft contrast version of the website by installing the High Contact or Change Colour extensions for Google Chrome. If you are using another browser, click on the appropriate icon below for instructions on how to adjust contrast in your preferred browser.

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Website Accessibility Initiative offers excellent step-by-step instructions on how to modify your browser or operating system to make most websites easier to view. Our website has been optimized to accommodate any of these changes for improved accessibility.

Website Accessibility Conformance

As a not-for-profit organization, we took a creative, resourceful, and research-driven approach in auditing our website to comply with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, performing a comprehensive website audit, combining both manual and semi-automatic methods of evaluating our website for accessibility.

Volunteer users from our diverse network tested our website, as it survived a rigorous assessment using HTML authoring tools and manual evaluation techniques. Through the efforts and feedback from a diverse group of individuals committed to website accessibility, Career Edge proudly meets the WCAG 2.0 AA level of conformance.
