As a newcomer to Canada, it was extremely hard to find a job after graduating. The internship [at RBC] gave me the precious opportunity I needed to start my career in HR and in Canada.
It also led to my current role, which is extremely rewarding. I am an ambassador for RBC’s Diversity and Inclusion culture and help build a vibrant workforce by breaking down barriers and bringing brilliant, diverse talent into RBC, in partnership with Career Edge.

[My mentor] Marino didn’t see my lack of experience as a limitation, but rather, as an opportunity for me to learn, maximize my capabilities, and bring a different perspective to the team. I came hungry to learn, and he gave me challenges that pushed me to develop my skills far beyond what I imagined I could do."

Kevin EchevarriaManager, Finance Controls, RBC & Career Edge Alumnus

I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with Career Edge in the past several years – placing interns and working directly with interns on my team. Career Edge is a wonderful organization that impacts the lives of many, and families and organization that see much benefit from this relationship.
