Driving your business strategy: Adapting to changes in Canadian demographics

By April 1, 2011August 6th, 2019Uncategorized

This past week, our President and CEO, Anne Lamont was invited by the Toronto Board of Trade to participate in a Webinar aimed at employers in the GTA. The complimentary webinar, entitled Driving Your Business Strategy: Adapting to Changes in Canadian Demographics addressed the need for businesses to adapt and change with the times, identifying “new opportunities” in the form of diverse talent pools.

The focus of this webinar in particular was on hiring immigrants, something that Career Edge Organization knows a lot about (if you haven’t heard about Career Bridge, you should really check out the website, www.careerbridge.ca!). Also participating was Camon Mak,  Director, Client Strategy – Multicultural Markets from RBC Royal Bank.

RBC has been a huge supporter of Career Bridge, hiring more internationally qualified professionals in 2010 than any other host employer. We recently honoured them for this and other accomplishments at our Achievement Awards gala.

The webinar is part of a program funded by Global Experience @ Work, an initiative of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, with support and funding from the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario. It was a huge success – over 100 employers signed up to participate! If you missed it, don’t despair – the good folks at Toronto Board of Trade have made the full recording (video and audio) available free online, for streaming or download.

You can access the webinar any time, free. Click here to access this complimentary webinar now, or follow the link below!
